Our Impact
The Companion Animal Fund is an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to keeping pets healthy, fed, and with the people who love them most in the Charlottesville area. Our No Pet Left Hungry pet food bank provides critical support to homebound seniors, families in crisis, and students by distributing tens of thousands of pounds of pet food annually through trusted community partners. Each month, nearly 1,900 households rely on our help to ensure their pets don’t go hungry.
The Companion Animal Fund spayed its 10,000th cat for the Voices For Animals organization on April 15th, 2013, and has continued to help feral cats in the Central Virginia region ever since. Through our Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) program, we spay, neuter, and vaccinate hundreds of feral cats each year, reducing suffering and preventing thousands of kittens from being born into hardship.
